Feedback and Tools: Deeper Analysis with tableau

The Tableau Tool augments the Key Insights and supports investigations with prebuilt analytical frameworks. This furthers the understanding of highlighted qualities and identities, enriches the dialogue around developing and testing hypotheses, and allows the expression of different views where the school’s data can objectively enlighten the discussion.

Tableau tools are organized around three sets. The first support four analytical frameworks that underpin the five themes the Inclusivity Index seeks to inform. These four tools not only display the summary information shown in Key Insights, but offer added flexibility to filter the results by selecting individual demographic subgroups or discreet qualities or quality groupings to narrow the focus of any analysis. The next set of four tools supplements those investigations with unique formats that filter, compare and aggregate the data from different perspectives. The final set of tools relates to the Assessment analysis which searches for demographic subcategories through multiple analyses that are sensitive to group size. The output provides the basis for the Treemap and presents the 10 groups with the most negative experiences that appear on the Dashboard.

To use the Tableau Tool, download free software called Tableau Reader and input the .twbx file that is provided with the results.
